The 2016 Walking Liberty Half Dollar Gold Coin has a mintage limit of 70,000 coins from the U.S. Mint. This is the final 24-karat gold coin the Mint is issuing this year to commemorate the 100th anniversary of three classic coin designs first issued in 1916. The obverse (heads) features a full–length figure of Liberty in full stride, enveloped in folds of the flag, with her right hand extended and branches of laurel and oak in her left.
