History of United States Quarters

The roots of the United States quarter trace back to the Coinage Act of 1792, which established the U.S. Mint and introduced the U.S. coin as a denomination. Initially adorned with the image of Lady Liberty, the 25-cent coin symbolized freedom and independence, resonating with the nation's foundational ideals.
