When one thinks about modern coins in today’s numismatic climate, they most likely think about coins from the American Eagle program or Washington quarters or something that you mind find in your local bank’s vaults. While that may be right to some degree, “modern” coins in the hobby often refer to a time period numismatically speaking that encompasses coins from the last 100 years.
In yet another top 100 list as put together by Whitman Publishing (we love these lists!), we are going to take a look at the twentieth century. While you may be thinking that we already do a series based on modern coins, we do and you should definitely consider checking those out! This new series focuses on modern world coins curated by authors Charles Morgan and Hubert Walker. Released this year in 2020, this list aims to take a deeper delve into the significance of world coins in the modern era and the changes that have been made over the years.
