Special Label From NGC Will Be Available for the 2021 National Law Enforcement Coins

Back in late January of 2021, the United States Mint released their National Law Enforcement Memorial and Museum 2021 Commemorative Coin series. The aim of the series? “To honor and commemorate the extraordinary service and sacrifice of America’s law enforcement officers and serve as a bridge between past and present, as well as between peace officers and the public,” according to the Mint. However, the Mint did something a little different with the release. They took pre-orders for the series on the official “release date” with shipping not expected until early next month.

In anticipation of those coins finally getting into the hands of collectors and dealers alike, NGC has announced an exclusive partnership with the National Law Enforcement Memorial and Museum in addition to providing special labels. While surcharges from each coin sold included in the series from the Mint has already been announced to benefit the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, the new and exclusive label from NGC that will feature the fund’s logo will also go to the organization. For each coin encapsulated in the certification label, NGC has announced that they will pay a royalty to support the fund’s programs and initiatives honoring federal, state, and local law enforcement who have sacrificed in the line of duty.

Like most new releases, the exclusive NGC label featuring the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund will be available for Early Releases and First Releases designations if received within the appropriate time frame.
