Since the last time we updated you on the United States Mint’s 2023 production schedule, they have made some updates and filled in some blanks. Let us continue looking forward to some items coming up in the last half of the year.
On August 14th, the next in the Presidential Silver Medal Series will feature the 17th President of the United States, Andrew Johnson. Struck at the San Francisco Mint, the medal will retail at $75.00.
The following day, the fourth and next to last 2023 American Women Quarter will be available in rolls and bags from Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco (3-roll set only). The reverse will honor Jovita Idar, a champion for the Mexican American cause aimed at creating a better future for immigrants. Depicted with her hands clasped, within her body are inscriptions symbolic of her greatest accomplishments and the newspapers she wrote for. Idar was a journalist, activist, teacher, and suffragist. She dedicated her life to fighting against separatist ideologies and for the civil rights of Mexican Americans. The reverse was designed and sculpted by U.S. Mint Medallic Artist, John P. McGraw.
Available on August 22nd will be the 2023 Silver Proof Set in Original Government Packaging. Struck in .999 fine silver at the San Francisco Mint, all 10 coins will have a stunning Proof finish and will retail for $130.00.
Rounding out the month of August will be the fourth and final release of the 2023 American Innovation $1 Coin Series. Honoring the state of Mississippi, the reverse will feature a pair of human lungs in the background and a surgical assistant passing forceps to the surgeon during the first lung transplant surgery. The coins will be available in 25-coin rolls and 100-coin bags from both Philadelphia and Denver.
On September 7th, the 2023 One-Ounce Palladium American Eagle from West Point will go on sale. The household limit is currently set at 10, but no retail or mintages have been revealed.
The Fall of 2023 is looking to be a jam packed with both the Proof and Reverse Proof 2023 American Innovation $1 Coin sets available from San Francisco. In addition, the last 2023 American Womens Quarter featuring Maria Tallchief will be released. However, some of the bigger, most watched products will be the 2023 Limited Edition Silver Proof Set and the 2023 2-Coin Morgan & Peace Dollar Reverse Proof Set. We will also see the Ulysses S. Grant Presidential Silver Medal and the annual Uncirculated (Mint) Coin Set for 2023.
