The famed Kennedy half dollar will be available tomorrow from the United States Mint in bags and rolls beginning at 12pm EST.
Minted at Philadelphia and Denver, the circulating quality coins will be available in 200-coin bags with 100 minted at the Philadelphia Mint and 100 minted at the Denver Mint. Although classified as circulating quality, the coins have never been released into circulation. The initial household limit for the bags is 10 with the retail set at $147.00.
In addition, the half dollar coins will be released in a two-roll set containing 40 coins per roll. One roll will come from Philadelphia while the other is from Denver. That set retails at $34.50 with an initial household limit of 10.
The Kennedy half dollar features the original 1964 obverse design depicting the 35th President of the United States, John F. Kennedy. “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and “2024” are inscribed on the design as well. The reverse is based on the Presidential Coat of Arms.
