The United States Mint has moved around a lot of product dates of late. However, in all that maneuvering, they also added some more clarity to what the summer months look like ahead. We are here to streamline some of that information and give you the heads-up for what is coming.
In just three days, June 13th, the 2024 American Buffalo 1oz Gold Proof Coin will be released. Struck at West Point in .9999 fine 24-karat gold, the coin will have a product limit of 16,000 with no current household or mintage limit.
The next issue in the 2024 American Women Quarters Program will honor Dr. Mary Edwards Walker and be available on June 17th. Releasing in 2-roll sets, 3-roll sets, and 100-coin bags, the coins will come from Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco (3-roll set only). Crossing battle lines to care for wounded soldiers, Dr. Mary Edwards Walker was a Civil War era surgeon who at one point was captured by Confederate troops as a suspected spy. She was held prisoner for four months during the war and is the only woman to be given the Medal of Honor. She was also a women’s rights advocate and abolitionist.
Finally, after initial release dates being changed twice, the 2024 Silver Proof Set will be released for collectors at the end of June. Retail will be $130.00 for the annual set containing 10 beautiful proof quality coins all bearing the ‘S’ mintmark representing San Francisco. All five American Women Quarters, the Kennedy half dollar, and the Roosevelt dime will be struck in .999 fine silver.
July will be a big month for collectors as the 2024 Morgan Silver Dollar and 2024 Peace Silver Dollar in Uncirculated Condition will be available on the 11th. Both coins will come from Philadelphia and will bear no mint mark. Household limit orders are initially set at three with a retail for both at $76.00.
On the 18th, the last of four 2024 American Innovation Dollar coins will be released in 25-coin rolls and 100-coin bags from Philadelphia and Denver. Honoring Missouri, the coins will have a household limit of 10 initially. In that same lane, the 2024 American Innovation $1 Coin Proof Set will round out the month of July. Struck at San Francisco, the set will be $24.00 and have an initial household limit of five.
The month of August will kick off on the 7th with the 2024 1oz Proof American Silver Eagle Coin from San Francisco. The household limit is set at 25. In addition, the month will house the release of the Chester Arthur Presidential Silver Medal, the fourth of five 2024 American Women Quarters honoring Celia Cruz, and the 2024 Uncirculated (Mint) Set.
Fall 2024 looks jam packed with big releases, including but not limited to the highly anticipated 230th Anniversary Flowing Hair Gold Coin and Silver Medal, the 2024 Proof Morgan and Peace Silver Dollars, the 2024 Morgan & Peace Dollar 2-Coin Reverse Proof Set, the 2024 Proof Palladium American Eagle Coin, and the Limited Edition Silver Proof Set.
