At 12pm EST today, the United States Mint will have the 2024 Proof American Silver Eagle from San Francisco available for $95.00.
Featuring the ‘S’ mint mark, the iconic American Silver Eagle design has a Proof finish and is struck in one Troy ounce of 99.9% fine silver. The obverse is now more than ever a closer representation of Adolph A. Weinman’s original vision as Lady Liberty is seen striding towards the sun. The design first appeared on the Walking Liberty half dollar that was minted from 1916-1947. The reverse features an eagle holding a branch from an oak tree, which is the national tree of the United States.
The coins will include the reeded edge variation that was added along the design change in 2021. The variation was added as an enhanced security feature to aid in anti-counterfeiting measures.
Coming in a black velvet, satin-lined presentation case, the coins will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. There are no mintage or product limits, but there is an initial household limit of 25.
