The United States Mint is gearing up for yet another release tomorrow with the 2022 Kennedy Half Dollars from Philadelphia and Denver. Available at 12pm EST, the coins will be in 200-coin bags and two-roll sets.
Featuring the portrait of the 35th President of the United States, John F. Kennedy, the 200-coin bags will contain 100 coins minted at Philadelphia and 100 minted at Denver. The coins will have circulating finishes although never having been released into circulation. The product limit is 11,000 and will retail at $147.00. The two-roll set will contain one roll each of 40 coins with circulating finishes from Philadelphia and Denver. Its product limit is 22,000 with a retail of $34.50.
The popular Kennedy half dollar features the image of President Kennedy on the obverse as originally done back in 1964. “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and “2022” are seen inscribed around the design. The reverse is based on the Presidential Coat of Arms with the inscriptions “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” and “HALF DOLLAR.”
