2022-W Reverse Proof Palladium American Eagle Release Set For End of September From U.S. Mint

Originally scheduled for release tomorrow at noon, the 2022 American Eagle One-Ounce Palladium Reverse Proof Coin now is set for a September 29th release on their production schedule.

Containing .9995 palladium and struck in a Proof finish, the one-ounce $25 denomination coin features the high relief likeness of “Winged Liberty” as similarly seen on the popular Mercury dime that was designed by none other than Adolph A. Weinman. Inscriptions on the obverse also mimic the original design, reading “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” “2022,” and Weinman’s initials. It also features the “W” mint mark representing the West Point Mint.

The reverse design features a high relief version also done by Weinman for the 1907 American Institute of Architects Gold Medal reverse. It includes an eagle and a branch with the inscriptions “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “$25,” “1 OZ. Pd,” “.9995 FINE,” and “E PLURIBUS UNUM.”

Each one-ounce coin is featured in a capsule and packaged in a black box from the United States Mint. It is also accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. Both mintage and product limits are 7,500 with a household limit of 10.

Stay tuned for more information regarding its release and retail.
