The United States Mint is ready to release its annual version of the Kennedy half dollar today beginning at 12pm EST. Available in two-roll sets and 200-coin bags, the popular coin will feature the 2023 year-date and come from the Philadelphia and Denver mints.
The two-roll set will include one 20-coin roll each from Philadelphia and Denver and contain uncirculated, unreleased coins from the Mint. The set retails at $34.50 and has a product limit of 25,000 and a household limit of 10.
Retailing at $147.00, the 200-coin bags will include 100 coins each (mixed) of Philadelphia and Denver minted half dollars. These coins also have not been circulated. The household limit is 10 and the product limit is 11,000.
The classic and popular design of the half dollar depicts the original 1964 obverse design featuring the image of President John F. Kennedy. “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and “2023” are also inscribed with the corresponding mint mark featured just below the truncation of Kennedy’s profile. The reverse displays the Presidential Coat of Arms and features the inscriptions “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “E PLURIBUS,” and “HALF DOLLAR.”
