The popular American Gold Buffalo 1oz Coin is back and will be available from the United States Mint June 13th.
Containing one ounce of .9999 fine 24-karat gold, the obverse of the 2024-dated coin depicts James Earle Fraser’s representation of a Native American. Also included on the design are the inscriptions “LIBERTY” and “2024.” The reverse features the all too well-known American Buffalo that is based on the original 1913 Type 1 Buffalo Nickel also designed by Fraser. Inscriptions featured read “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” “$50,” “1 OZ.,” and “.9999 FINE GOLD.”
The stunning Gold Proof coin will come encapsulated and housed in a classic black presentation case that fits into an outer sleeve. It will also come accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
There is no household limit and currently no mintage limit established. However, the product limit has been set to 16,000.
